I am NOT an Indian!!!

My blood boils when Indians come here or go anywhere else and say I don't like India. Some who hate to be called Indians or even be called of Indian origin?

I think each one should thank their motherland who gives their identity firstly, during the times of crisis your country provides you food to eat, our government provides free education which is well recognized in the world, you have a right to vote, you are safe, your family and children live with you under the same roof, you are not scared that someone might take them away from you, you don’t die of water and nor does anyone make you a slave or kill you because you are Jew or even just because you ask a simple question. Your 20 year old son is not sent to war for OIL.

Many countries suffer from TERRORISM or CORRUPTION or even BAD POLITICS today but that doesn't mean you blame your own country for it. I don’t say Indians are clean but for some handful people we can’t blame the whole country.

India isn’t like USA who thinks he is a world leader and calls a war on any nation, we are not murderers but yes we are stupid people. India has every right and reason to call a war on Pakistan but we don't do it. Now call ourselves a Coward but it is not about cowardice it’s about how many lives will this war cost, it might also give rise may be to a major war. One has to think of many political issues before calling a WAR and not ONLY about OIL. Who is America to decide what are weapons of mass destruction and whether which country can possess and which country cant.

India isn’t like Libya either where if you are not fit to work they cut your right hand so that you can’t vote. If you are fit to work, you are enslaved. In these North African countries, various tribes are killing each other. Where other countries have to come and dictate their terms and conditions. Each parent there doesn’t know if his son/ daughter will be alive next day or even with them or taken to some military camp where the 10 year old boy will be taught how to shoot and kill instead of love and live or 10 year old daughter will be gang raped and killed or kept as a mistress for the rest of her life.

And all those out there who deny to call yourself an Indian cause it is because you are an Indian many of you are successful Accountants or Software Engineers. Had the country not given you education where would you be?

We only blame India for everything but what have you and I done to make it better. We have left that country and come here to lead a better and safer life and all we do is talk about how bad India is and about their politicians. Many of us don’t even look after our old parents after we have left the country or even treat them right when they come here to meet us then what can others expect from the NRIs for the country. We don’t have a right to pass a comment or a judgment for that matter.

I know some might tell me you are surrendering your passport but my answer to them is I am NOT surrendering my Identity I am a person of Indian Origin and will remain. I am indebt to my motherland and one day I will repay it in my own small way.

LET US MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Its time that each Indian wakes up and sees around and makes the use of his/ her every right and does something for the country and pay it back for everything it has given you. Every breath of freedom we breathe and every sense of security we feel.

Let us all make an effort to make a difference in our country in our own small way and we will succeed. And the first thing we start from is VOTING. Choose the right people. Last thing any Indian would want is the Gawalis (an underworld group) in the parliament BUT they are there and why are they there, we need to ask a question to ourselves.

Ask this question to yourself, did you cast your vote?

Many of us don’t want to vote. They feel No use voting, makes no difference but if you don’t wont vote how will it make a difference. Just like you how many more people believe in the same and wont vote? Every vote counts.

When I asked one of my friends have you applied for your election card, he said that he didn’t want one. Without an election card you can’t vote. I can’t vote but I request every Indian out there stand up for your right and use it for your own good. Educate the masses.

One person I know of a woman who runs a project called Hope for the Hopeless. She is a 64 year old who educates slum children who will one day become responsible citizens like you and me and may be will vote for the right people.

Let us use our intelligence for the good of our nation than for trying to save on taxes and bribing the government clerks.

STAR VERSUS 'STAR'

The body of Major Manish Pitambare, who was shot dead at Anantnag, was cremated with full military honours at Thane on Wednesday.

On Tuesday a news swept across all the news channels about the Bollywood Superstar Sanjay Dutt who was found guilty for possession of AK-47 and a pistol. 'Sanjay Dutt relieved by the court'. 'Sirf Munna Not a bhai' , '13 saal ka vanvaas khatam', 'although found guilty for possession of armory, Sanjay can breath sigh of relief as all the TADA charges against him are withdrawn' !!!

And then many experts like Salman khan saying 'He is a good person. We knew he will come out clean' Mr. Big B - 'Dutt family and our family have relations for years, He's a good kid. He is like elder brother to abhishek'. His sister priya Datt - 'we can sleep well tonight, it's a great relief' !!!

In other news, Parliament was mad at Indian team for performing bad;Greg chapell said something ...; Bomb scare in Gorakhpoor express; and ShahRukh Khan replaces Big B in KBC and Sonia asked PM to consider reducing petroleum prices. But most of the emphasis was given on Sanjay Dutt's "phoenix like" comeback from the ashes of terrorist charges.

Surfing through the channels: one news on BBC startles viewers, itreads, Hisbul Mujahidin's Most wanted terrorist 'Sohel Faisal' killed in Anantnag, India. Indian Major leading the operation lost his life in the process.Four others are injured.

It was startling as at other channels, the ones who are 'Sabse TEZ', Sanjubaba (Sanju baby) was still ruling. They were telling How Sanjubaba pleaded to the court saying 'I am the sole bread earner for my family I have a daughter who is studying in US - who will look after her'.And then they showed how Sanjubaba was not wearing his lucky blue shirtwhile he was hearing the verdict. Also how he went to every temple and prayed for last few months. A suspect in Mumbai bomb blasts, convicted underweapons act...was being made into a hero.

Sure Sanjubaba has a daughter; sure Sanjubaba did not do any terrorist thing as in bombing some place or hijacking an airplane etc. Possessing an AK47 is considered too elementary in terrorist community and also one who possesses an AK47 has a right to possess a pistol so that again is not such a big crime; Sure Sanjubaba went to all the temples; Sure he did a lot of Gandhigiri but then......

Major Manish H Pitambare got the information from his sources about the terrorists' whereabouts. Wasting no time he attacked the camp killed the Hisbul Mujahidin's supremo and in the process lost his life... to the bullets fired from an AK47...

He has a wife and a daughter (just like Sanjubaba), age ...18 months.Major Manish never said 'I have a daughter' before he took the decision to attack the terrorist hideout in the darkest of nights? He never thought about having a family and he being the bread earner No news channel covered this since they were too busy hyping a former drug addict, an actor, a suspect in bomb blasts case. Their aim was to showhow he defied the TADAcharges and they were so successful that his conviction in possession of arms had no meaning. They also concluded that his parents in heaven must be happy and proud of him.

Parents of Major Pitambare are still on this earth and they have to live rest of their lives without their beloved son. His daughter won't ever see her papa again.

Finally Sir Major Pitambare , to my generation there is no greater hero than one who laid his life in the name of this great nation.

Hence Sir, I salute you. You are the real Star,Vande mataram.
